This figured walnut and epoxy table has already been approved by the family dog!
One unexpected feature of this slab that didn’t really emerge until I sealed the slab before finishing, we’re the presence of visible symmetric medullary rays over the length of the entire slab. I’ve only seen rays like that on quarter sawn maple and oak, not a massive walnut slab. They were even visible on the live edges and shape shifted in a holographic way from different light and viewing angles. Very nice! Best regards!
