Avodire, also known as African Satinwood or White Mahogany, is a West African hardwood prized for its pale yellow to cream tones and shimmering figured grain. Avodire is in the same "Sweitenia" genus as Mahogany so it shares many of the characteristics and grain patterns ranging from mottled to wavy, Avodire highlights projects with its natural chatoyance. Easy to machine and finish, it’s perfect for veneers, cabinetry, and fine furniture. Its luxury look makes it a designer’s favorite.
