4/4 Cherry Lumber, 6-7′ Select. I bought 1000 bf. $1990 + shipping was $725 to Canada. Planning to use lumber for cabinets and cabinet style furniture and some molding on top of them. An average width is about 6″+, but some boards are much wider. The average length is about 6’+, with some boards 7’+. There is almost no knots. Often even knot is present it is present only on one side. All lumber was hit and miss to 15/16″ and most of the boards are flat, so just planer can be used to bring them to desired thickness. So for majority of the boards will not require jointing unless you are very picky about flatness. About 2% boards are not flat. In general, I’m satisfied with the quality and would recommend buying and will buy again in the future.”

Josh had it neatly packaged with heavy plastic wrap and strapping and had sized the bundle perfectly for my small pickup. Loading went without a hitch – I’m always surprised at the precision a forklift operator has – and the trip to Newport went very well. Thanks for all your help.”

I am very pleased with the 4/4 Select Cherry lumber that I received. Most of the boards were 6′ or longer with plenty of variety from 4″-8″ widths, with a couple even wider. Very few of the boards had any knots, and I found plenty of pieces with wurly grain. This was my first time ordering from you. I was impressed by the prompt and personal call after I placed my order on the internet, this placed me at ease. The shipment was delivered about one week later and neatly placed in my garage. Even with the price of shipment, I found this order to be less expensive than anything in the local vicinity (northern NM, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque). Needless to say, on a 1-5 scale this is a 5 for me (top of the list) and will not hesitate to place my next order from you. Again, thank you.”

The Alder lumber did arrive on November 12th. The shipper pointed out some minor “edge damage” on one piece of the 8/4 lumber that was perhaps caused by a fork lift. However, that minor damage was easily removed with the joiner without compromising the beauty or the necessary finish dimension of the piece. I would rate the overall condition and appearance of the lumber as truly outstanding. Absolutely “Premium Quality.” It really is beautiful stuff. As for my overall experience with Wood Vendors, definitely a 5 on a 1 to 5 scale. Both the product and the customer service were truly exceptional. Whenever I need quality lumber I will definitely seek to acquire it from Wood Vendors.”

First off, thanks for the follow up call when I placed my order. It was great to know that there’s a human at the other end of the pipeline. Our conversation really helped to assure me that I was dealing with a reputable outfit. I received the lumber on 11 Dec late in the evening and what a joy it was hauling it in and stacking. The feel and smell of the cherry wood was great. The color and quality of each piece was fantastic. I was really happy with amount of heartwood on both sides, thickness and width was just what I needed. I calculated the board feet and you all were right on the money. I’m looking forward to placing future orders. The wood is meant for a wardrobe for our niece. She helped haul & stack and today with the first milling of the cabinets. All in all, after 20 years of ordering and picking through wood, you all rate a 5+ from us. A very merry Christmas”

The shipment came two days after I placed the order! (You lied – you said that it would take a week to ten days – Ha!) All of the pieces were 10 ft. which was great. The widths ranged from 5″ to 12″. There was beautiful figure on at least 75% of the wood. I was able to get a full 7/8″ out of 75% of the pieces after dressing down. I’ll plain down the rest to 3/4 for another project. There was a little bit of warp and bow. The bow was easy to rip out and I am able to avoid most of the warp.”
