I simply cannot overstate the tremendous impact working with Wood Vendors has had on our success. Beginning with their selection, they offer a breadth of species in a wide range of sizes, exactly suited to our needs. The images on their website, specifically the excellent simulations, allow me to share options with clients before making a commitment. Given the highly custom nature of our work, this is invaluable. The ability to request re-inspection images of slabs after kilning provides an additional level of confidence in their already top-notch catalog. We are able to offer an unparalleled inventory of the best kiln dried live edge slabs out there to both our trade and private customers. Even more notedly, the customer service is unmatched – the availability of assistance with a single call, help locating a niche item, keeping shipping costs to a minimum, fabulous selection, and more. I cannot stress enough how this B2B partnership has helped us grow our business, be more productive, save on inventory costs, and most importantly, receive glowing reviews ourselves from our customers who are thrilled with the results.

Titus used walnut slabs to create this one of a kind table for a house in Utah.
“Patrick!
Got the table top in the house !!! With the help of 4 others we were able to unwrap and set it on top of a big quilt on top of the old table.

Pat — Hi. I meant to reach out yesterday. The slab arrived and we thought it was amazing!
Today we trimmed it to a rectangle (keeping the off fall) and applied a coat of shellac to protect it until it’s time to use it.
My husband (a carpenter and wood crazy guy) says it is the most magnificent piece of wood he’s ever worked on!
Here are a couple photos of each side. We’ll have to make the tough decision of which side to have facing up!
Thank you so very much!
Happy Holidays!
Warmest regards, Tracy Smikle

Thank you for the wonderful photos!
Kyle at East Texas Grain and Knot did an incredible job on this zebra wood door.
He used 8/4 quarter sawn zebra wood to give this door its unique look.
We can’t wait to see what’s next!
Check them out below at this link.

“I worked with Pat for a great 42” x 72” Cherry Slab and opted for a Finished Edge vs a Live Edge and came out fabulous. Extremely impressive centerpiece in the kitchen and I look forward to it warming up in the morning sun.

“Hi Tom, hope all is well. Here are some images of the finished table from this slab. Definitely one-of-a-kind and perfect for the Florida ocean front home it was delivered to.
Please extend my thanks to the entire team that prepped and shipped this slab.

“Pictures of the finished mantel and support beams inside the home and finished support beams for the main entry and the side porch are attached. -Tom U. “
We had the pleasure of helping Tom and Sheryl with the beams in their new house!
They picked out Appalachian Hardwood beams in a hand-hewn texture.
Tom and Sheryl added some stain and finish on to these beams to make them pop and last longer!
Thank you Tom and Sheryl!

“One unexpected feature of this slab that didn’t really emerge until I sealed the slab before finishing, we’re the presence of visible symmetric medullary rays over the length of the entire slab. I’ve only seen rays like that on quarter sawn maple and oak, not a massive walnut slab. They were even visible on the live edges and shape shifted in a holographic way
from different light and viewing angles. Very nice!
Best regards!
